Google vs Trustpilot: Turkey Dental Clinic Ratings Data (2026)

We compared the public Google and Trustpilot ratings of 98 dental clinics in Turkey that publicly serve international patients. This page reports the aggregate figures — how the two platforms compare, where they disagree, and how much review evidence sits behind the scores. It is a data summary, not a ranking, and names no clinic as best or worst.

1. Google ratings run higher than Trustpilot

Across the clinics we checked, the average public Google rating was 4.79 (median 4.8), while the average Trustpilot rating — among the 55 clinics that have a Trustpilot profile — was 4.49. That is roughly a 0.3-point gap in Google's favour. This is a well-known pattern across service industries: Google collects far more reviews from ordinary local customers, while Trustpilot skews toward customers who actively sought out a review platform, often after a problem.

Takeaway for patients: a high Google score alone is not the full picture. Where a clinic also has a Trustpilot profile, it is worth reading both.

2. The two platforms usually agree — but not always

Of the 55 clinics present on both platforms:

So three in four clinics score consistently across both platforms — a reassuring sign. But a meaningful minority (a quarter) score at least half a point lower on Trustpilot, and five clinics differ by a full point or more. A large gap between a clinic's Google and Trustpilot scores is a signal to slow down and read the actual reviews on both sites before deciding.

3. Nearly half of the clinics are not on Trustpilot at all

43 of 98 clinics (44%) have no Trustpilot profile — or one with too few reviews to be meaningful. A clinic can be excellent and simply not use Trustpilot, so absence is not a negative. But it does mean Google is often the only large public review source, which is exactly why review volume matters (see below).

4. Review volume: where the evidence is

The 98 clinics carry a combined 87,176 public Google reviews and 20,656 Trustpilot reviews. Volume varies enormously — a 4.9 rating from 60 reviews is far weaker evidence than a 4.7 from 4,000. We always show the review count next to every rating for this reason, and our Clinic Finder sorts by rating and review volume together rather than by star score alone.

Because every clinic here already meets a 4.3★ / 50-review inclusion bar, the field is clustered at the top. This is why the star number alone rarely separates clinics — the useful differences are in review volume, treatment fit, languages and independent cross-checks.

Istanbul holds just under half of the clinics in this set, with Turkey's coastal cities (Antalya, Izmir, Bodrum, Fethiye) forming a second cluster popular with patients who combine treatment with a stay.
